(Woodhull, NY) – One night after ending their night on their lid at Outlaw Speedway, the DelGrosso Brothers Racing team had a long Saturday of repairs ahead of them trying to repair a battered No. 11 machine.
The repairs helped the team salvage a Top 5 finish, as Shawn Gleason continued his winning ways on 'New York's Toughest Bullring.'
"This one was all on Josiah and the crew to even get us to a Top 5," said DelGrosso post race.
"I had dad commitments today and just didn't have a lot of time to devote to the repairs. Without Josiah, Codie and others pitching in to make repairs, I couldn't have even hit the track tonight. Also a big shout out to Nate Freeland for helping us out last minute with a part that allowed us to even compete. This is why we love racing in the Front Wheel Drive division."
The team has made the decision to step aside from competition at Outlaw Speedway, at least until track officials are able to get hold of the brand new clay surface. A wet Spring and a brand new surface has made track conditions treacherous for four cylinder-powered stock cars in 2017.
Their next event will fall on Saturday night May 6th at Woodhull Raceway.
